Warm Winter Lemon Cake

Directions: Prepare yellow cake mix as directed on package and pour batter into a 13x9 pan. DON’T BAKE YET.

Mix pudding packages, sugar, cold milk, and water together, whisking about 2 min. Pour this mix on top of the cake batter and then set it in the oven. You might need to put a baking sheet on another rack under the cake to catch any drippings.

Bake at 350 degrees for 55 min- 1 hr. Cool 20 min and serve.

This activity provides many opportunities for clients to tear open packages, grasp onto measuring cups to scoop and pour ingredients. It allows use of kitchen tools to measure and mix, encouraging active grasp and ROM of UEs. The finished product can be tasted by clients who are able to eat, but should also provide a nice aroma for the house.
